Dryland practice:
Swinging your leg from the hip!
Practicing having the hip driving the leg forward, with the lower leg slightly delayed and catching up.
Practicing to allow the lower leg to initially retain its position other than what is necessary for the thigh to move forward from the hip. Think of the lower leg dangling from the knee as the thigh initiates. The foot should barely lift up towards your body prior to moving forward.
Pool practice:
Glide posture standing upright. Locating your position with "Y" arm posture; settling into this posture and looking straight ahead without head tilt or facing off to the side.
Practice kicking in glide posture.
Adjusting glide posture and longitude balance with head relaxation and positioning.
Adjusting glide posture and longitude balance with gliding arm/hand aim angle.
Adjusting glide posture and lateral balance with degree of torso rotation.
Practice finning in glide posture.
Experiment with turning for a breath in glide posture.
